We need you to tell us about a GMB Health and Safety Rep who’s made a real difference where you work.

Whether it was ending the barbaric practice of ‘sweating’ workers, or organising safety standards for women working with explosives in World War One, Mary MacArthur wouldn’t take no for an answer when it came to protecting health and safety.

We’re looking for that type of can-do attitude to be recognised. We know that GMB Health and Safety Reps do a tremendous job in workplaces across the UK. We also know that, all too often, they don’t like to make a fuss and hide their light under a bushel.

In recognition of this, we are asking you to nominate Health & Safety reps who have made an outstanding contribution to workplace safety, often in the face of opposition from employers.

Previous nominees are eligible to be put forward, and nominations are particularly encouraged for female reps, BME reps and young member reps.
