On Tuesday 27 February at 11am we are holding a memorial service at St Paul's Cathedral to celebrate the life of our brilliant President, Mary Turner, who devoted her life to GMB and the wider labour movement.

St Paul's Cathedral holds 2000 people and I am very keen to ensure we pack it to the rafters to show just what Mary meant to us all. Doors to the Cathedral will open at 10am with the service starting at 11am and will be concluded by midday.

It has been agreed, by the Cathedral organisers, that regions and branches can bring banners and I am thrilled that the national banner together with one from each region will be paraded through the middle of the Cathedral to start the service. For all of you attending please note there is no parking as it is, of course, in the heart of London and security will, as always these days, be tight so please bring minimal baggage. It is vital that we have an idea of numbers - so, again, if you wish to attend please register through the following link so we can ensure proper seating in the magnificent Cathedral - https://www.ourmary.org One other crucial point - there is disabled and wheelchair access but again we will need to know any requirements please so that the Cathedral Ushers can assist on the day.
