A number of changes are taking place to the training that is on offer to GMB activists. Congress agreed the way forward in a CEC paper that you can download here.
Webinars
Webinars are a good way to learn and train when learners are spread across the country. Participants log in at their own computer, put in their headphones, and listen/watch presentations. People participate, ask questions and take part in polls and exercises throughout.
They’re not something that would replace learning in person, but a way to make more training available to more people on a regular basis.
Large numbers of GMB activists have already taken part in our webinars, which have covered a wide range of subjects. Each webinar lasts about an hour and consists of a presentation followed by a question and answer session.
