GMB activists are the lifeblood of everything our union does. I'm sure many of you will have heard me say this, but I'll say it again because I really believe it: people don't join GMB because of the cockney bloke who they see on telly - they join because of their workplace reps who do the graft on the ground.
When I was elected to be our General Secretary, I pledged to be the Activist General Secretary. A few months ago I wrote out to all of our post-holders and asked you what you need from GMB nationally. You told us that you'd like to be kept up to date every couple of months, that you'd like updates on national campaigns, resources to use in your workplaces and interesting articles or information that applies to you.
In the coming months we'll have a new all singing, all dancing website but in the meantime, we've set up this site to respond to what you have told us we need. On these pages, you'll find updates from National Sections, from National Office Departments, resources for download and comment pieces on GMB issues. But this is your site - if there is something else you'd like to see here, or if you have any comments or thoughts at all, please get in touch.
